  • Siam, whale with “cat’s eyes”

Tail of Siam, the humpback whale.

For 35 years, we have been able to recognize this humpback whale due to the “Siamese” cat’s eyes on his tail.

Of the approximately 7000 individuals of his species living in the North Atlantic, for a long time, he was the only one to swim up the St. Lawrence as far as Tadoussac.

One winter, he was sighted off the coast of Puerto Rico, in the Caribbean, singing, courting a female and perhaps conceiving its offspring.
