Snow crab, a giant spider
This crustacean is prized caught for its delicious legs which, in the biggest specimens, can be almost one meter long!
It is said that fishermen named it snow crab because its golden brown shell turns completely white right after moulting.
The females are very selective in their choice of their partner. After mating, if fertilization is unsuccessful, they can use the sperm stored for future eggs for the next 4 years!
